Still Here. Heard Before Heaven.

This page exists because of a beautiful, sweet woman named Marcélla. She was my big sister. She was my other half in more ways than one. And long before this platform had a name, long before there was a broadcast or an audience or a mission statement — there were two of us. Two voices. Two hearts. Two doses of something the world needed. That is where the name came from. Real Double Dose Channel — RDDC — was never supposed to be just one person.
It was supposed to be both of us. Marcélla was the other dose. And even though the circumstances of her life kept her from stepping fully into that role while she was here — she was already part of it. She always was. She passed away. And in the aftermath of that loss — in the kind of grief that does not have a clean edge or a clear bottom — I understood something I had not understood before. She did not just leave behind a memory. She left behind a mission.
The Still Here Initiative is that mission. Heard Before Heaven is the name we gave to the conversation she never got to finish. And every word on this page, every episode we record, every person who finds this space and decides to stay — that is Marcélla, still doing what she was always meant to do
"You are still here. That means something."

This page is for you.
Not a version of you that has it together. Not the version you show in public. The real one. The one that woke up this morning and had to work a little harder than usual just to keep going. This page is for the person who has never told anyone how heavy things have gotten.
The one who is functioning — getting dressed, going to work, answering messages — while something on the inside is quietly unraveling. It is for the teenager who cannot name what is wrong but knows that something is. It is for the man who was never given permission to say that he is not okay. It is for the woman carrying trauma that was put on her by someone who had no right to put it there. It is for the family member watching someone they love move toward an edge and not knowing how to reach them. And it is for the person who has already lost someone — the one living in the after, trying to figure out how to carry a grief that nobody prepared them for.
All of you are welcome here. None of you have to have it figured out to walk through this door. This is not a clinical resource. There are no forms to fill out. Nobody is going to ask you to explain yourself before they decide if you deserve help. This is a community built on one belief: every person deserves to hear one voice of love before they make an irreversible decision. We are that voice. And we are training more.
This page is for you.
Where RDDC Really Came From People ask about the name sometimes. Real Double Dose Channel. What does that mean? It means two. It always meant two. When I started building this platform, Marcélla was supposed to be here with me. We were going to do this together — two sisters, two voices, two perspectives on life, faith, pain, purpose, and everything in between. A double dose of real. The kind of content that does not flinch from the hard parts because we had both lived through hard parts.
The circumstances of her life — the weight she was carrying, the years of hurt that had built up around her like walls — kept her from being able to show up the way we had both imagined. And before she could find her way to the other side of all of that, she was gone. But here is what I know:
She still started this. From beyond her passing — from everything she was and everything she carried — she is the reason RDDC exists. She is the reason I kept going when I wanted to stop. She is the reason I could not stay quiet about the things most people are too polished or too afraid to say out loud. The double dose was never just a name. It was a promise between two sisters. And I intend to keep it

"Marcélla — you started this with me. I am finishing it for both of us."
What the Still Here Initiative Actually Does
We are not waiting for people to come to us. We go where the hurting are. Social media. Prisons. Care facilities. Comment sections at 2 in the morning. Wherever someone is running out of reasons to stay — that is where we show up.
REACH- We go where the hurting are. We post. We show up. We speak in the language of the person we are reaching — in English and in Spanish — because nobody gets left out because of language.
SPEAK- We train voices. Every person touched by this initiative becomes equipped to speak into someone else's crisis. You do not need a degree to say: I see you. You do not need credentials to say: you matter. You just need to show up.
HOLD- We build community for the surviving. For families who lost someone. For trauma survivors rebuilding identity. For incarcerated individuals rebuilding purpose. Nobody heals alone in this space.
HONOR- We honor those we could not reach. Marcélla. And every name behind every number in every report that gets published and set aside while another person runs out of time. Their names do not disappear here. They become the reason we run faster toward the next person.
The Moment the Mission Went Beyond All The Loss...
On March 26, 2026 — the day this initiative was officially founded — I learned about a young woman named Noelia Castillo Ramos. Twenty-five years old. Barcelona, Spain. She had survived a gang rape. She had survived a suicide attempt that left her paralyzed.
She had spent years asking a broken system for help and receiving failure at every turn. By the time the world heard her name, she had already made her decision. I wrote to her across an ocean. In Spanish and in English. Because Marcélla taught me that silence in those moments is its own kind of abandonment. I do not know if she heard me. But I know I had to try.
Her story is not a debate about euthanasia or end-of-life decisions. It is a mirror held up to every system, every community, and every individual who passed by a suffering person and said nothing. Noelia's story widened this mission. What started as grief for one sister became a movement for everyone who has ever felt that the world passed them by without noticing.

You Are Still Here for a Reason.
I do not know what brought you to this page today. Maybe you know exactly why you are here. Maybe something just pulled you in and you are still figuring that out. Either way — stay for a little while. Listen to the episodes. Read the blog posts.
Let something land. And if you are in a hard place right now — if the weight is heavier today than usual and you are not sure you want to see tomorrow — please reach out. Call or text 988. Free.
Confidential. Any time of day or night. Someone will answer. Someone is trained to sit in this with you until the weight shifts. Or reach out to us at realdoubledosechannel.com. We are not a crisis line. But we are real people — people who have been through the kind of loss that changes everything — and we are here.
"You are seen. You are not forgotten. Your story is not finished."
For Marcélla. For Noelia. For you.
